Robson & Burrard

Vancouver, BC

Perhaps one of the most highly visible commercial corners in Vancouver, this one storey and mezzanine building on a small limited access site has become a landmark with it’s glass wrapped lantern.  It has in its own way become a gateway at the eastern end of the most desirable retail street in the City.  The transparency of the double height space and largely glazed east facade opens up a visual connection into the space for the car intensive Burrard St. while the contrasting limestone clad north facade on the pedestrian-oriented Robson St. is better suited for merchandise displays for passersby.
